Senior Photography - Ursuline 2011! - Sebastopol, CA

August 30th, 2010

I know, I know. There has been an abundance of babies on my blog lately. Perhaps I should rename my blog baby faces? … ;)

Babies are irrestistable, but I have to say, I’ve been photographing some awesome senior sessions lately as well, so this post is to share some with you.

Go Class 2011!!

This is Taylor, whom I’ve known for a few years - she’s been taking voice lessons from my husband in her rise to become a country music diva. We had such a blast exploring our beautiful and sometimes quirky coastline.

Here’s some favs:

The First Twelve - Baby Portrait Program - Sebastopol, CA

August 21st, 2010

It’s always nice to come back from a little vacation to photograph a sweet baby. Today I had a nice studio session with little one month old Xander. This will be the first of many, as Xander is one of the babies that is participating in The First Twelve Baby Program here at my studio.  I love it when they are sleepy and cuddly.

Here’s some special ones from the session:

Little Ms. Olive - Norah’s Studio - Sebastopol CA

August 4th, 2010

Little Ms. Olive came in on Saturday, along with her awesome parents, Cody and Allison. Olive has changed so much since the last time I saw her … taller, walking, and now with a full set of hair as blonde as blonde can be… and it goes with her eyes perfectly.

In between all the walking and exploring, I caught some special Olive moments that range from sometimes looking a tad confused (for those who have seen pictures of Olive know that this is a classic Olive expression) to an abundance of happiness.

Isabella’s Blessing - Armstrong Woods, Calif.

June 29th, 2010

Sunday I had the honor of photographing little Isabella’s Blessing. It took place outside underneath giant redwood trees, thousands and thousands of years old, in Northern California’s beautiful coastal landscape. As one guest commented, “what a beautiful juxtaposition; combining the old with the young.”

Friends and Family gathered, during an unusually hot day, bringing their presents and love, and then everyone stood around Isabella and her mommy & daddy and all gave their blessings and good wishes.

It was hard to choose a few … but just for a taste of the day, here are some favorites.

More Fun at Viansa Winery - Sonoma, Calif

March 15th, 2010

Hello There! Happy Monday and what a gorgeous, warm sunny day it is in Sonoma County.

Jessica Switala, florist extraordinaire of Fleurs de France, and I had another great day at Viansa Winery photographing inspiring table decorations. In February, we photographed a stunning color combination of deep purple with silver and also muted yellow and white combination. This time, we photographed a springtime-green with white and a sassy black with fushia pink.

[i love this newest trend of three different vases with three sets of floral bouquets.  crackled votive provide a nice soft light, especially for a reception set at dusk or in Viansa's wine cave.]

[this is the bridal bouquet jessica created for the springtime-green and white theme. jessica always chooses the best white ranunculas! i thought the sculpture at viansa was a nice background for this classic bouquet.]

[the handsome botinere - love the orchid!]

For my wedding, I chose a very similar fushia as my accent color. My wedding took place outside, but if it had been inside, I would have loved to use this striking combination.

[the heart shape occurs naturally]

[the fushia and black theme carry on in matching floral accesories. for the groom, a fun little piece with black feathers and a black and white striped ribbon. for the bride, fun threads of pink accent the bouquet with matching black feathers. remember, birds of a feather, flock together!]

Till next time, happy wedding planning!
