Let me just say this:

Driving down to San Mateo on an early Saturday morning is a tough job. Especially, if say, you happen to be a wedding photographer and the only image you’ve seen of the ceremony site is a tiny little image captured on a camera-phone and from what you can see of that inch-by-inch photo shows that the site is, capital-G, Gorgeous.

Spencer and I started in the morning photographing Jen at the San Mateo Marriott. The suite was so nice and with a little loft bedroom upstairs, there was plenty of space for all the girls to get ready.

During the visit with the girls suite, we headed off to Jen and Tom’s house where we photographed the guys getting ready.

Jen and Tom were married at the Pulgas Water Temple in San Mateo. It has an old-world feel, with the tall white columns and a reflection pool lined with trees on each side.

[first dance. and may i just say that dj's who bring their own disco-ball are awesome. it really does set the mood right!]

[... but that did not last long ... a cake-smearing contest quickly escalated!]

[we ended the night with our own photo-booth in the hall. the man on the left is responsible for jen and tom's first sparks - they met at jen's birthday party that he invited tom to. and, if you know jen, she is famous for her silly faces, so this was not the only pictures of her crossing her eyes, sticking out her tongue, etc.. and somehow she still manages to pull it off ... ]

[and finally many thanks to mr. and mrs. armenio who tied the knot may fifth of two-thousand five. without them, i would have not met tom and jen. so, here's picture of spencer and i with the armenios and the new mr. and mrs. cushing - woohoo!]

[also a brief shout-out to DJ Joshua of Precise Productions for being one of the hippest, most groovenist DJ's I've worked with. To Foster Chen of L*Amazing Production for being a smooth video-grapher. And last, but certainly not least, to my husband for being the best assistant and husband ever. PS: Why was I not included on the "gray is the new black" memo? ;)]
